True Miracle Workers Are Hated

But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the crowd, There are six days on which work ought to be done; so come on those days and be cured, and not on the Sabbath day. Luke 13:14

Jesus healed a woman who had been sick for eighteen years and the preacher was mad at Him for doing it. Being miraculously used sounds great, but your Father using you in incredible ways will not make people like you. What it will do is cause them to be jealous of you, angry that you are costing them money, and they will fear losing their power.

But as time went on, there arose no little disturbance concerning the Way [of the Lord]. For a man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines of [the goddess] Artemis [Diana], brought no small income to his craftsmen. These he called together, along with the workmen of similar trades, and said, Men, you are acquainted with the facts and understand that from this business we derive our wealth and livelihood. Acts 19:23-25

Jesus said to them, My Father has enabled Me to do many good deeds. [I have shown many acts of mercy in your presence.] For which of these do you mean to stone Me? John 10:32

Even though the world will hate you for truly being used to help the sick and the needy, your Father’s Love that lives within you will cause you to do it despite the consequences.

No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends. John 15:13
